E-book Bitchu Matsuyama Castle

Bitchu Matsuyama castle is one of only twelve survived samurai castles in Japan. Among these dozen, it is the only mountaintop castle (yamajiro). Located at 478 m Mount Gagyu it is also the highest altitude castle in Japan. The book tells about the history of the castle from the early XIII c. to nowadays. Extant buildings of the castles date back to the XVII c. In spite of simple architecture, it is one of the most beautiful castles in Japan. The book is rich illustrated by photos mainly shot by the author. Recommended for those interested in Japanese history, culture and architecture.
